About Me

Personal Life

I've been married to my best friend, Robyn, for 10 years now. She has been my biggest supporter through all my endeavors.

We have one son, Garrett, who brings joy to us every single day! It is a joy having the opportunity to watch him learn and grow as the days go by. Just as our parents loved us, we will do the same to him.

When it's time for family time in the summer, we like to go out and watch the local baseball team in Amarillo, TX...the Sod Poodles!

Church Involvement

My wife and I are also involved in Children's Ministry at our church. I'm a co-teacher for the 4-5 year olds and my wife helps in the nursery. On occasion, we will even dress the part depending on the events and lessons going on that particular day. The image on the right was a recent photo taken of my wife and I during one our lessons concerning Bethleham.

In addition to helping out with the Childen's Ministry at our church, I also assist with the Media Ministry by running a camera or helping direct shots taken by the cameramen. The video we shoot of the services are actually streamed live on our church website every Sunday morning.

The photo shown here on the left shows me manning one of the cameras we run during the service.

Community Involvement

Outside of church, my place of employment, Valero, is heavily involved in community activites and volunteering. Each year, everyone is grouped into volunteer teams which is lead by a captain and co-captain. For the last six years, I have been selected as team captain.

As a volunteer captain, duties include: keeping track of each team member's volunteer hours, sending reminders on up-coming events and motivating members to participate in volunteer activites held. I was also selected this year to be the team captain ambassador and to assist other team captains with leading their teams and performing their duties.

Another community activity that I participate in is a gaming event called "Extra Life". This is a 24 hour gaming event where hundreds of gamers get together to raise money for The Children's Miracle Network. Click here to visit the Extra Life website.
